Privacy policy

1. Who we are
Framework is operated by Magicbar, Inc., a Delaware corporation, at 2261 Market Street STE 85579, San Francisco, CA 94114. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our website and services.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the information you share with us about your family and their care.
- Insurance details, if you ask us to arrange therapy through your plan: the insurer and plan name, member ID, group number, the name and date of birth on the card, and photos of the front and back of the card. You share these through a private link we send you after your call.
- Information collected automatically, such as standard server logs, pages visited, link clicks, time on a page, and technical errors. The site uses three measurement tools: Google Analytics and Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and PostHog. They set cookies or similar identifiers and receive standard details about a visit, such as the page viewed, the type of device, and the ad that led you here. We do not send your application answers to any of them. You can block these tools with your browser settings or a browser extension, and the site works without them.
- Information from third parties, such as providers and institutions we work with at your direction.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the service, communicate with you, keep records, and comply with the law. We do not sell personal information. We use advertising tools only to measure and improve our own advertising, as described in sections 2 and 4, and we do not let other companies advertise to you based on the information you give us.
We use insurance details only to find therapists in your plan's network and to confirm with their offices that they take it. We do not send insurance details to any advertising or analytics tool, and the page you share them on loads none.
4. How we share information
- With third parties involved in delivering the help you request, at your direction.
- With the therapists and practices we contact for you, so they can confirm your coverage before you book. We share only what they need for that.
- With service providers who support our operations, under confidentiality obligations.
- With Google and Meta, to measure which ads lead to a conversation with us. When you submit our form, we may send them a hashed version of your email address, phone number, ZIP code, and state, together with their own advertising cookie identifiers. Hashing turns a value into a scrambled code, so they receive the code rather than the address itself. We do not send them your answers about your family.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Insurance card photos are kept in a private store, shown to our team only through short-lived links, and never sent by email or text. Member IDs are stored encrypted, and each time a team member views a card photo or a full member ID is recorded.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
Insurance card photos are deleted 30 days after we confirm your therapist match, or 90 days after we ask for them if no match is confirmed. The typed insurance details stay for as long as we are arranging care for you, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will verify and respond to requests as required by law.
8. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and post the new policy on this page.
