A woman in her eighties and her adult daughter doubled over laughing together at a kitchen table in late afternoon light.

Your parents need an assistant more than you do.

FrameworkHere now Is this text from Medicare real? Her aide quit. Who is with her Monday? What is this $2,480 charge on Dad’s account? Can you send her records to cardiology? The furnace is out. Can someone let them in? Book her a ride to the dentist on Tuesday?

A person reads it. Not a bot.

The questions people ask

You are watching their bank account?

Only if they want us to, and only to look. We are set up with read access, which is enough to spot the charge that should not be there and nowhere near enough to move money. They can switch it off in a sentence. The alternative is that nobody notices for four months, which is what usually happens.

What do you actually do about scams?

Block and report the numbers, help lock down the accounts a scammer would go for, and be the second opinion before anyone sends money to a stranger. Most of it is answering “does this look real to you?” within a few minutes, which is the window that matters.

Do you employ the caregivers?

No. We find them, vet them, arrange the introductions and manage the rota, including the mornings somebody cancels. Your parents meet them and decide. We are the layer that makes the arrangement hold together, not another agency.

How is this different from a care agency?

We don't employ caregivers ourselves. And we typically have a more holistic awareness of what is going on with the person's life, rather than being focused specifically on the day to day of eating, showering, etc.

What if they do not need care at home yet?

Most people start before that. The other elements of our service tend to be just as, if not more valuable earlier in life. Medical advocacy and financial support are both more impactful when changes can be made before something goes wrong. Once more frequent care is needed, we can facilitate it with the knowledge we've built up throughout the relationship.

They will hate the idea of being looked after.

Most of what we do is invisible to them: a bill paid, a record chased, an engineer booked. What they see is that things work and nobody is fussing. What we typically see is that parents prefer when Framework runs things versus a child, because it's not fun to be bossed around by a child, or have to treat them like an assistant.

We live in different countries.

Everything is arranged by phone and text, so there is no requirement that you live close to your parent. In fact, those situations are the ones we tend to be able to add the most value to.

Where do you operate?

We work with families anywhere in the United States. Everything is arranged by phone and text, so there is no requirement that you live close to your parent.

What about an emergency?

Framework is not urgent or emergency care. If it is an emergency, call 911. We pick up everything that comes after: the discharge, the follow-ups, the extra hours at home, and keeping you in the loop.

You can also just get it for you

Nothing here requires an adult child. If you are the one arranging your own appointments, aides, shopping and repairs, we can help.
